I love how you've composed this, with the swan in the bottom corner... He's making me a little nervous with his staring though... :)

I thank you both. Well, since G asked, I might as well tell the story, but be warned, it gonna get ugly.

Once upon a time, in a country where people used to listen to awful bang-bang-electronical music, there was a girl, let's call her Lord Mischief, who once had to see the headmaster of her school. We do not really know why he had sent for her in the first place, but we were surprised to learn that Lord was chosen to travel up north to meet another headmaster and his fellow students...

Yeah, or something like that. Seriously, I took this one in 1997 (yep had to dig through my boxes once again) in Hamburg while I was on some exchange visit programme.

I don't know why I took it in the first place, but I guess watching the swans for a while triggered the thought. I don't think he was dangerous (yes I know for sure that it's a HE), he was just very trusting, something that isn't all that common... so no real danger here, or for me. Half an hour later I saw him giving chase to an elderly woman... Who knows what that holds?

dark, dark water...
i like the framing! even though his head is in the center of the picture, you managed to make this shot vibrant and dynamic by positioning his body in the bottom left. love it.
