Classic. Classic photo!

just wondering, my camera doesn't have a sepia/bw mode. its just a simple point and shoot(with some optical zoom). How do I convert it to a neat and nice B/W or sepia? I tried converting to BW before, but some look dry, and others just looked ugly.

Well, that depends. There are various ways to convert colour to b/w; one is to use the b/w setting of your digital while using a yellow filter.

Another possibility is to meddle a bit with Photoshop or whatever software package you use. I for one, use Irfan View (totally free) and play around with the canal mixers, convert b/w or coloured digitals into grey tones and then adjust light and contrast. Which I do very rarely, because, I like to use filters too much.

Another way would be to de-saturate the colours to the maximum and then adjust light and contrast to your liking.

Let me know if I can help you.
